History
Timber Truss Housing Systems, Inc. was founded in 1960 by W.A. James. Today, Mr. James serves as Chairman of the company and is actively engaged in our daily operations. Celebrating over fifty-one years of manufacturing high-quality products, Timber Truss has a rich history being one of the first leaders in the fabrication of wood framed truss and panel homes, and continues to introduce innovative products and technologies today for markets worldwide. Headquartered in Salem, Virginia, Timber Truss has office and manufacturing space of approximately 12,263 square meters and additional lumber storage facilities of about 2,071 square meters, on a 242,812 square meter site that enjoys direct rail access to the export ports of the Eastern United States. Additionally, Timber Truss maintains a second, separate manufacturing site in Orange, Virginia which consists of a site with 121,405 square meters and 6,782 square meters of manufacturing and office space. This plant was established with new equipment and machinery in 2005, and is capable of producing multiple types of building structures for high-volume export.
